Memory Card Game
Firstly you will need a set of cards with words or pictures
on them that can be taught in pairs, eg. opposites, jobs and
buildings (firefighter/fire station), infinitive and past
forms of verbs. You can also make cards by simply cutting
out 16 pieces of paper, and on one side write 8 pairs of words.
Lay down the cards with the blank side face up. Each student
in turn lifts up 2 cards. If they have a pair, they keep the
cards. If they don't have a pair, they replace the cards in
the same position. Game ends when all the pairs have been
taken. The student with the most pairs wins.
