Down the Drain

Down the Drain은 손실되다, 낭비되다, 수포로 돌아가다 라는 뜻입니다. 아래로를 뜻하는 Down과 배수로, 하수구를 뜻하는Drain, 두 단어가 합쳐진Down the Drain은 직역하면 하수구로 빠져 나가다 라는 뜻인데 무엇인가 하수구로 빠져 나간다면 손실된다는 것을 뜻하겠죠. 문장을 들어 봅니다.
