Penny Ante

Penny Ante의 Ante는 원래 카드 놀음 포커에서 처음에 대는 판돈을 의미하지만 미국에서는 사업자금, 분담금이 Ante라는 단어로 표현되기도 합니다. 그러니까 아주 적은 것을 뜻하는 Penny가 앞에 붙여진 Penny Ante는 적은 자금이라는 뜻의 idiom입니다.
